I'll give you the sun AND the moon

It has been a very hectic week so far.  We are planning a trip up to Maine for this weekend (tempting fate since that is where we were when the blizzard hit 2 years ago and we were without power for a week).  It is mixing business with pleasure since I will be delivering inventory to Mainely Quilts in Kennebunk, ME.  In fact, we are going to stay at the Inn which is run by the owners of the quilt shop.  So far this week I have finished 8 mix and match blueberry place mats, 2 table runners and some balsam pillows and sachets.  I thought I was done once the table runner were finished when I remembered  that there is an Art Walk in Shelburne Falls on Saturday and I am getting low on my stock of balsam at the Co-op.  Since I am working tomorrow at the Arts Co-op and it is a 45 minute drive to get there, I thought I better get some balsam pillows and sachets made this afternoon so I can take them with me tomorrow   I was planning on going to the Y for a workout, but no such luck.  I got out this fabric which I made pillows and sachets out of last year that had sold really well.  Fortunately I had stored the coordinating fabrics  with the print.  The fabric has these 2 1/2 " squares all over it so I fussy cut them out and fuse and applique the squares onto a coordinating fabric.  If it is going to be a pillow, I then put an outer border around it.  I LOVE this fabric and hate to think about when I finally do run out of it.  It is very unusual and as you can see, it makes a real conversational piece when it is turned into a balsam pillow or sachet.
