A wonderfully textured fabric in tropical colors of green, orange and yellow on a sky blue background is combined in the center of this mat/trivet with an orange batik.  Next comes 2 green plaster of paris strips.  For a bit more color and contrast, the outer reaches brings in a coordinating yellow stripe.  It is all framed up but repeating the tropical textured fabric.  When it is all put together it is reminiscent of a lovely day in the tropics.
