Today's challenge, make something lovely out of this mod black fat quarter and matching teal blue fabric I purchased a couple of weeks ago . When I saw this fabric I had to have it but with the amount of fabric I already have in my stash, I limited myself to a fat quarter of it and purchased at the same time a fat quarter of the matching teal tone on tone.
It doesn't happen very often that I purchase a fabric without knowing what I am going to make out of it. That wasn't the case with this puzzle fabric. I saw it in a store and simply had to have it. So bright, so cheery, SO much fun. This weekend I realized I did not have much in the way of balsam pillows and sachets in inventory and with a show coming up in July, I started digging around in my stash and started designing, cutting and sewing up the covers for the sachets (which are 4" sq.) and the pillows (6" sq.).
It would appear looking at the date of my last blog entry that I am a total slacker, which is not the case. MANY technical difficulties on the blog resulted in not being able to post photos. I found it very difficult to describe things without a visual. There are still some technical problems but I am very pleased that the blog/photo issue has been resolved. Yesterday I made these 2 fabric bowls
