I upgraded my sewing machine in August and it has become painfully (oh my aching back) clear that a sewing table designed for my new electronic machine was in order. I started looking around and doing some research this past month. I felt that a Horn sewing cabinet might be just the ticket for me. Upon inquiry, my facebook friend Holly, who has an exquisite sewing room, informed me she has a Horn cabinet and that she LOVES it.
One of the wonderful things about being a fiber artist is the array of fabrics I get to work with. Even thought there is 3 feet of snow in my yard, I can get out bright, colorful fabric and if instantly makes me forget the monochromatic landscape outside my door. As soon as I found this Kilim fabric in my stash and this perfectly coordinating bright turquois, I knew they would be a cure for my winter blues.
Sunday, we were yet again in the midst of another snow storm here is Massachusetts. I had taken a look at the wheels on my sewing chair earlier in the day and realized I had a bit of a mess on my hands. While rolling about I had managed to pick up a rather large amount of debris in the wheels. I pulled them off and asked my husband Tim if he would be willing to clean them out for me. He has a very well equipped clock shop down in our basement with every hand tool imaginable. But of course, first he had once again clear the driveway so while he was doing that I decided to get out some fabric and cut out a tri-colored apron.
