Hubby's B'Day

The Arts Co-op that I am a member of is having a Fiber Arts focus show in July so I have been sewing up a storm for that.  "Nature's Helix" which I blogged about making  http://newenglandfiberarts.com/node/108  was made to put in this show.  This morning I finally managed to finish the carrot market bag I started last week. This too I am putting in the show. I got some what side tracked getting it finished due to the on slot of out door tasks that needed to get done while the weather was pleasant, which is truly was most of last week and into the weekend.  This is the 5th one of these market bags I have made.  The one I made a couple of weeks ago I blogged about how it is made.  I used a bright chili pepper fabric for that one.  To see how the are made you can go to that blog entry http://newenglandfiberarts.com/node/114.

I am writing this blog entry while the strawberry/rhubarb pie I just made is baking.  Today is my husbands birthday and this particular pie is his favorite thing on the planet.  I know someone who refers to her husband as her DH (Darlin' Husband) which I think is pretty cute.  I too adore this kind of pie and would be completely satisfied with having it and nothing else for dinner but I am sure this the birthday boy would like a bit of dinner and enjoy his birthday pie while we are watching the Red Sox this evening, provided the game does not get rained out.
