Not enough hours in the day

Today is my daughter, Meagan's 25th birthday.  It is hard to believe that it was a 1/4 of a century ago that I became a mother.  I will take the afternoon off of Saturday and my DH and I will meet Meagan at the Gardner Ale House to celebrate her birthday the way we usually do, at their Oktoberfest.  What can I say...family tradition but in the mean time...the push is one to get ready for the Garlic & Arts Festival which is now 9 days away.

On Saturday, my DH and I attempted to set up my pop-up canopy so we could make sure we knew how to attach the side walls and also, I wanted him to get a visual on a hanging pole that he will need to attach to the frame.  I use the word attempted since a storm blew in and the canopy blew over and yeah, one of the front legs ended up broken in half...OMG.  This was the LAST thing I needed.  After a panic attack, I found what I am hoping is a replacement leg and it will be here on Monday, 5 days before the event.  This Sunday we are putting the canopy up again, INSIDE the garage and my DH will see what will be required to make a splint for the aluminum leg IF the one that is on it's way is not the correct part.  In the mean time, I am feverishly sewing, sewing, sewing.  I have enough merchandise to make a decent display but not to replace items (except for aprons) when they sell.  I added 2 more fall themed hot pads to inventory this week and I do believe that once I pick up a few items I have out there in a couple of retail outlets, I should have enough of them.  I also made another market bag yesterday.  Things like cooking, cleaning and keeping the house in some sibilance of order will have to wait.  At least I located the camera so I could take pics of the hot pads.  It was a couple of weeks ago that a friend told me what I need is a staff to take care of the house...YEAH, I could get use to that!  Any takers????
